Refund & Return Policy – THE MARO SHOP

This Refund & Return Policy applies to purchases made from THE MARO SHOP (www.themaroshop.com).


1) Return Window

We offer a 30-day return window. You must request a return authorization within 30 days from the date your order is marked as delivered.


2) Return Eligibility

  • Items must be returned in the same condition as received: unused, unopened, and in the original packaging, including all seals and protective elements.
  • A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.
  • Due to hygiene and safety regulations, personal care and cosmetic products are eligible for return only if they are unopened and unused.

3) Non-Returnable Items

  • Opened, used, or tampered personal care or cosmetic products.
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper storage, or customer handling.
  • Customized or personalized products.
  • Perishable goods, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
  • Gift cards.

Important: We do not designate items as “final sale.” All eligible products may be returned within the 30-day return window only if the conditions above are fully met.


4) How to Start a Return

  1. Contact us at contact_cs@themaroshop.com within 30 days of delivery and include: order number, item(s) to be returned, reason for return, and photos if the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.
  2. All return requests are subject to review and approval. If approved, we will issue a Return Authorization along with detailed instructions.
  3. Returns sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.

5) Return Shipping & Costs

  • Free return shipping is provided for authorized returns involving defective, damaged, or incorrect items.
  • For change-of-mind returns, a 3% restocking fee will be deducted from the refunded amount.
  • Original shipping fees, customs duties, taxes, and handling charges are non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • Returns related to misuse of the policy or suspected fraudulent activity may be denied at our discretion.

6) Packaging & Return Address

Returned items must be securely packaged in their original packaging to prevent damage during transit.

7) Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. To receive a different item, please complete the return process and place a new order once your return is approved.


8) Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us without delay and provide clear photos of:

  • The outer shipping box
  • The inner packaging
  • The product itself

9) International Orders, Customs & Refused Deliveries

  • International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT/GST, or other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not refundable by THE MARO SHOP.
  • If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, undeliverable due to an incorrect address, or returned by the carrier, any approved refund may be reduced by outbound and return shipping costs and applicable carrier fees.

10) Refund Processing

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.
  • Please note that banks or card issuers may require additional time to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, contact us at contact_cs@themaroshop.com.

11) EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

For orders shipped to the European Union, customers have the right to cancel their purchase within 14 days of delivery without providing a reason, in accordance with EU consumer protection laws.

This right does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
